Yoga Basic - 340301

This basic Hatha Yoga class includes seated midplane and standing yoga postures, while safely transitioning between them. Focusing on breathing, our yoga poses are practiced with a relaxed alignment increasing flexibility, improving balance, increased energy and fun. Please bring a yoga mat to class.

Watercolor Pencils, Masking & Colored Pencils workshop - 360922

Are you looking for a new way to use colored pencils and still display the piece in an all-colored pencil show? This workshop will cover how to create watercolor pencil under-paintings, which adds movement, color surprises, and texture to colored pencil drawings. It also speeds up the colored pencil process; and gives the opportunity to use masking, creating lines of actitation and organization. This workshop includes demos from the instructor on mastering watercolor pencils, colored pencils and masking fluid. In addition, students will learn to use the color wheel to guide them in their color choices to finish with a well, unified piece.

Supply List: Professional grade watercolor pencils; Professional grade color pencils (at least 48 set); Arches 140 lb Hot Press watercolor paper (artist choice in size); Erasers; Fineline Masking fluid pen - standard tip 0.8 mm; Tape; Watercolor brushes; Board to mount your watercolor paper on; bag lunch.

Soccer Pre-School Fall - 410301

This is a developmentally appropriate introduction to youth soccer. This program prepares children for organized soccer in a fun environment. Preschoolers and their parents are introduced to dribbling, passing, shooting and 3v3 games. Sign up and come ready to play. All parents are also encouraged to come dressed to participate with their child, especially parents of 3 year olds. Players will receive a soccer t-shirt.

Coaches will contact players with program schedule. This program meets on Saturday mornings for 45 minutes, once a week for six weeks. The earliest starting time is 9am. Other starting times will be scheduled throughout the morning and will end by 12pm.

Soccer League Fall - 410303

Coaches emphasize having fun and developing skills in this coed league. Our program is based on small sided games offering players a greater opportunity to touch the ball and develop their skills. Players are placed on age appropriate teams. Game formats include 4v4, 7v7, and 9v9 games utilizing appropriate goal and field dimensions. This program is based on the US Youth Soccer Official Game Format and follows FIFA and USYSA rules. Players will receive a soccer t-shirt and socks.

Fall Practices begin the week of September 9th. Coaches will contact players with practice and game schedules. Teams play 6 games and typically meet for practice once a week during the week.

Football-Flag - 410401

This is a safe, fun, non-contact sport based on NFL flag football rules. Children are placed on teams within their age group. Players receive a football shirt. Players must wear turf shoes or gym shoes. Mouth guards are required for games and practices. Coaches will contact players with practice and game schedules. Practices begin the week of September 9th. Teams play 6 games and typically meet for practice on Tuesday OR Thursday, as well as games being scheduled on Tuesday OR Thursday at Community Center Park.

Start Smart Football - 411002

This parent/child interactive program teaches the basic motor skills to play football while they work one-on-one and spend quality time with their parents. Held once a week for six weeks, the focus is on teaching children, and their parents, skills in throwing, catching, kicking/punting, and running/agility. Players keep their participant kit which includes one football, one flag belt, four cones, one kicking tee, and one participant's manual.

Jazz & Ballet I - 430102

Jazz - This high energy class is based on classical jazz technique layered with stylistic jazz movement. Students warm up with stretching, isolation's, strengthening exercises, and “across the floor” exercises including turns and leaps. Ballet - Technique, vocabulary, strength and flexibility will be developed through the format of a traditional ballet class; beginning with exercises at the barre, moving into center work and finishing with movements across the floor.

Required for Jazz: tan jazz shoes, tight fitting clothing (tank top, leotard, capri yoga/dance pants, jazz pants, etc). NO JEANS! Hair pulled back; Required for Ballet: dance tights, solid colored leotard, and pink leather or canvas ballet slippers.
