Basketball Camp - 410108

This camp provides the opportunity for your child to train and learn the fundamentals of basketball with others in their age group. Each session will teach the basics of shooting, ball handling, passing, offensive and defensive footwork, positioning and rebounding. Players will develop proper techniques through drills, scrimmages and fitness, which will give them confidence in their game.

Soccer Pre-School Fall - 410301

This is a developmentally appropriate introduction to youth soccer. This program prepares children for organized soccer in a fun environment. Preschoolers and their parents are introduced to dribbling, passing, shooting and 3v3 games. Sign up and come ready to play. All parents are also encouraged to come dressed to participate with their child, especially parents of 3 year olds. Players will receive a soccer t-shirt.

Coaches will contact players with program schedule. This program meets on Saturday mornings for 45 minutes, once a week for six weeks. The earliest starting time is 9am. Other starting times will be scheduled throughout the morning and will end by 12pm.

Soccer League Fall - 410303

Coaches emphasize having fun and developing skills in this coed league. Our program is based on small sided games offering players a greater opportunity to touch the ball and develop their skills. Players are placed on age appropriate teams. Game formats include 4v4, 7v7, and 9v9 games utilizing appropriate goal and field dimensions. This program is based on the US Youth Soccer Official Game Format and follows FIFA and USYSA rules. Players will receive a soccer t-shirt and socks.

Fall Practices begin the week of September 9th. Coaches will contact players with practice and game schedules. Teams play 6 games and typically meet for practice once a week during the week.

Youth Soccer Coaches are needed! If you would like to coach your child's team, please indicate your interest with your registration.

Metro Cheer All-Stars Prep Program - 411301

Metro Competitive Cheer teaches the fundamentals of cheer in a fun, energetic, and safe atmosphere. We strive to make your child the best athlete they can be. All athletes have the opportunity to participate in a special performance and options for competitions. No prior cheer experience is necessary.

There is a $75 Uniform Package fee payable directly to the instructor at the first class. This package includes a Cheer Uniform, a hair bow, and a practice t-shirt and shorts outfit.

Coed soccer leagues are forming for the upcoming fall season. League play is 8 v 8. Seven game season. Team play emphasizes having fun and exercise. This program follows FIFA and US Soccer rules. Team Managers will contact players with game schedules. Plan to arrive 15 minutes before game time for pre-game warm-up and organization. Jazz - This high energy class is based on classical jazz technique layered with stylistic jazz movement. Students warm up with stretching, isolation's, strengthening exercises, and “across the floor” exercises including turns and leaps. Ballet - Technique, vocabulary, strength and flexibility will be developed through the format of a traditional ballet class; beginning with exercises at the barre, moving into center work and finishing with movements across the floor.

Required for Jazz: tan jazz shoes, tight fitting clothing (tank top, leotard, capri yoga/dance pants, jazz pants, etc). NO JEANS! Hair pulled back; Required for Ballet: dance tights, solid colored leotard, and pink leather or canvas ballet slippers.

Hip Hop is a high energy class that uses the latest sounds in rap, R&B and pop music together with different manifestations of the dance form, breaking down steps and technique and also emphasizing bringing style and personality to the movement.
Lyrical is based on the coming together of ballet, jazz and modern dance and is usually set to modern popular music. Technique is combined with creative expression. One year previous dance experience is required.

Tap & Ballet I - 430501

Tap students learn to create rhythms with their feet. Classes focus on the development of a sharpened sense of rhythm, coordination, and clarity of sounds. These are incorporated in warmups, rhythm sequences, and movements across the floor. Required: black tap shoes.
Ballet technique, vocabulary, strength and flexibility will be developed through the format of a traditional ballet class? beginning with exercises at the barre, moving into center work and finishing with movements across the floor. Required: dance tights, solid colored leotard, and pink leather or canvas ballet slippers.
Level I - No previous experience is required. Level I classes introduce the student to beginning dance steps. Students normally spend two years in Level I classes.

Baton II/III - 430802

We are proud to announce that the Twirlettes of Saline will be joining our youth dance program as a satellite program for our new and returning baton dancers! The Saline Twirlettes have been in existence for 50 years teaching area youth the sport of baton twirling. Their program offers a recreational and national team level program. Under the leadership of Champion Coach Susan Usher and Twirlettes National team members, Instructors Kaitlyn and Addison will teach students in the basics of baton twirling at an introductory level. Come experience a unique sport that combines artistry and athleticism.

Meeting for all interested twirlers is being held at the Ytown Community Center on August 27th at 7pm.
